Directors and Officers Insurance for Museums and Historical Institutions
No comments · Posted by Boardwalk in Commercial General Liability Insurance, Directors and Officers Liability Insurance, Employment Practices Liability Insurance, EPLI, General Insurance, Insurance for Non Profit Organizations, News, Products and Services
Museums and other historical places make great tourist attractions and are trusted as knowledgeable organizations committed to presenting the facts. Their directors and officers are generally held in the highest regard as experts in their particular fields, giving the institution credibility.
Even experts make mistakes, however when those mistakes lead to potential legal action, it is good to have protection in place. Directors and officers insurance is protection in the event that directors or officers make harmful mistakes related to their position at their museum or historical institution. Directors and officers insurance can also include employment practices liability insurance, which also protects in the event that the museum or institution is sued for discrimination.
